My Cairns Tours is an online tour department for our locally and family owned hotels and apartments in Cairns. Our office is part of our motel “Cairns City Palms” on 199 Sheridan Street.

Preparation

Not much, depending on the tour. We do suggest you bring appropriate clothing, comfortable footwear, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, cash and card for payments, your camera and an umbrella if wet weather.

Please bring your swimmers and towels if you are going to the reef or a waterfall tour.

There is no need to bring your passports, but please do have an ID ready on check in.

We understand that you may not have a printer handy when you’re traveling so it is not necessary to have a printed copy. However, we require that you show ID matching your reservation and also the Order # that is immediately emailed to you after you make your reservation.

We recommend you consider travel insurance. We do not accept any liability or responsibility for any extra expenses or losses that may result from cancellations, changes, delays etc. Neither for any injuries, damage to persons or belongings, losses or death from any involvement in any tour, activity, service, accommodation, experience or attraction that has been booked.

Some medical conditions or medications may stop your involvement in the tour or service selected, please check with your doctor prior to booking. All activities and services may involve risks to your health and safety and may be dangerous. By selecting or participating in the activities and services you are personally assuming those risks and releasing My Cairns Tours from any claims, liability, charges, expenses or damages.

Prices and Payments

If cancelled 24 hours prior your tour departure, we give a 100% refund of the tour cost. Tour Payments are refundable in full if the tour operator cancels the tour and an alternative day or tour is not available. If you need to cancel, please contact My Cairns Tours directly and immediately. Please note if you do not cancel within the required times (as stated on the tour operators’ website under cancellation policy) you are responsible for the charges as per the specific tour operator’s cancellation policy.

Each tour is subject to the operator’s conditions of travel and their cancellation policies. It is the customer’s responsibility to make themselves fully aware of such policies, terms and conditions prior to booking. Each tour operator’s policies can vary significantly.

Yes you can. We have a secure online payment system in place through the website. You credit card details are split up and never seen together – with passwords needed to access each part. We delete all credit card details after processing payment.

If you still do not feel confident in the process, we are very happy to take payment over phone or in person at our office on 199 Sheridan Street.

We guarantee that our prices throughout the website is calculated with a 10% discount.

There will be no extra charges added to the quoted price.

Please do note that the tour companies change their prices yearly in March or April. Due to this our future online prices may not be updated correctly. We do try our best, and if the case is that the price shows up different than the online quote, we will get in contact with you.

Please note that tours may have a levy/environmental fee that is to be paid on the tour. It is not included in our quoted prices, and they are not discounted.

We do not process any payments before all is confirmed, and everyone is happy.

  • When booking is made, you will receive an email letting you know that we are in the process of checking availability and rates. Please check your spam inbox folder if you are not receiving this.
  • When booking is confirmed, we will process the payment to the credit card provided. After payment we email you your tour voucher.

No. But you will have the option to use the details in your booking on our check out page, to create an account with My Cairns Tours. From your account dashboard you can view your recent tour bookings and manage your account details. It simply makes it easier for you to book more tours with us, if we already have your details on file.

It is possible to modify your tour booking until 24h prior departure. Please get in contact with us as soon as possible if changes needs to be done.

There is usually no charge to alter a booking date, as long as the new requested date is available and the required amount of notice is given as according to the tour operator’s terms, conditions and cancellation policy.

The customer is recommended to reconfirm their tour directly with the tour operator, a minimum of 24 hours prior. This is a good opportunity to ask the tour operator any questions you may have and to confirm departure times and transfers. It is the customers’ responsibility to make their own judgement about weather conditions and to seek advice from the tour operator if need be.

If transfers are included, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that everyone in the customer’s party is in the correct pick up location at the correct time. If the tour pickup has not arrived, please phone the tour operator directly (not My Cairns Tours).

By booking using My Cairns Tours (MCT), you the customer and all additional persons you book on behalf of, agree that the following terms and conditions apply.

My Cairns Tours is a tour booking service only. We are not a tour operator and have no influence, direction or control over a tour or service operator. We have no responsibility for tours, services, accommodation or experiences that the customer selects.

Our website has been designed as an online resource, we endeavour to publish the most accurate information, however this information can change quickly or without notice. Much of the information is provided by tour operators. We do not take responsibility for and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the tour information or service.

Tour operators update their prices and brochures around 1st of April yearly, we do our best to keep the webpage updated with the latest information.

To book through My Cairns Tours you must be a minimum of 18 years old.

The customer is required to provide photo ID at check in with the tour operator.

Prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST.
